This year I'm really wanted to do more with Connor. Like make more fun things for him so he will be ready for pre-school this year.(crazy pre-school already).Every Thursday i watch Gracie, so its always just the three of us. So Thursday will be Crafty Thursdays, i will try to come up with a fun activity either cooking or making fun things for the kids. Ive been thinking of some fun things to do with the kids and so this Crafty Thursday we made home made play dough and home made maracas.
Please if anyone knows of more cute fun things to do, let me know. :)
2 cups of flour
2 cups of warm water
1 cup of salt
2 tablespoons veg oil
1 tablespoon of cream of tartar
20 drops of food coloring
* Mix all dry ingredients together in a bowl
*Mix all liquid ingredients together in a bowl
* Add all together and cook on med-low heat
* Mix till its all dough
*put flour on table and begin to need.
*Put in fridge till cooled off
*play and have fun with the play dough
Next we made maracas
2 cups or plates
Dry beans
Markers or stickers
stapler
Color your plates/bowl how ever you want
Put 1/2 cup of the dry beans in one bowl
and then staple
Last shake like no other :)
Connor keeps till me "i had so much fun mommy". And when he says that its all worth it!!

Oh man I have lots of ideas for you!!! :) Ryker and I are ALWAYS doing crafts and he LOVES it!
* draw an outline of their bodies and let them decorate with feathers, pom poms, buttons, noodles, glitter... anything you can think of!
*Paper bag masks. let them cut eyes holes for the eyes mouth and nose and decorate them with yarn hair and a bunch of other things
*get some picture frames from the craft store and let them decorate them
*you can make food coloring finger paintings(put corn syrup on a poster board drop food coloring drops on it and let them fingerpaint... then let it dry and its a shiny painting)
*since its valentines day almost you can make valentine candy jewlery(thats what Ry and I are going ot be making) just get cute gummy v-day candy and string them onto some good string and let them eat!
*make a rocket ship out of a paper towel holder(pretty easy to do)
* you can bake goodies
* make sock puppets
* get some glass plates from the dollar store and let them paint on it (GREAT keepsake!be sure to date it!)

You are GREAT!!!!!! I love love the idea of doing the glass plates and paint on them. I think i might have to do that next week.. awh i love all them. Im sure i will use everyone for sure.. Thanks you are the best :)
Your very welcome. Make sure when you do the plates get ceramic porcelaine paint(craft store or I think home depot might have it) so that it stays on and doesnt come off after washing it.
