23 weeks

What's up with Baby this week?

Our little man is weighing in at 1 POUND finally.
and about 12 inches long.
Your little womb hi-jacker is starting to kick their break-dance party up a notch now that his/her ears are registering sounds from the outside world!
The sound of a phone ringing (or that catchy ring tone), a thunder clap, or a car honking will actually jar their little ears enough to elicit a kick or violent bout of squirming. More importantly, this means that their little ears are picking up the sounds of your voice and others around you.
So, if you've been yelling a lot (and really, who doesn't get cranky when they're pregnant?) it's time to reign that in and practice a little self restraint for the sake of your little eavesdropper, who is becoming more exquisitely sensitive to all of your behaviors every day.
The equation is simple: happy healthy mama = happy healthy baby. Stress during pregnancy is quite literally BAD for your baby's developing brain. It's time to clean out the toxic relationships and situations in your life for your sake and your child's sake. Take the time to center and be quiet - to reflect on the growing life inside of you and the future you will share together.

Symptoms? Stretching and other then that this week has been pretty good. Finally a week that is good for me and my little man!

Gender? Handsome little boy!

Excited For?  Christmas family parties. Its that time of the year for family and food!

Maternity Clothes? I LOVE yoga pants..

Sleep? Sleep has been better in the past. I stop taking my sleeping pill and i have noticed how much i really do it. When i don't take the pill im up every hour, tossing and turning. On the days i dont take it i notice the next day im way more tired then i was before. So i might need to start taken it again.

Movement? LOTS! This little man must hate when i put anything on my belly. As soon as i set my hand or the ipad he starts moving like crazy. Its like he is telling me to keep off his space. BUT when anyone else put their hand on my belly to try and feel him move he will stop right away. He is a stubborn little man thats for sure. JUST LIKE HIS DADDY.

Belly Button Status? Half way in and half way out. Some days it wants to be a outie and other days it will stay in.

Missing Anything? Sleeping better at night. Im also starting to roll when i get up from the car or the couch. haha Oh and adult drinks. Logan made this new drink this week and it smelt AMAZING. I was really wanting one.

Milestones?
Making it to 23 weeks.
Watching my little guy kick me all the time.
I have a name for Baby G, but now its trying to get Logan to love it as much as i do!!!

Cravings? Nothing really this week. I have noticed this week i haven't been as hungry like i normally am.

Weight Gain? Well i went to the doctor on Wednesday and it said i had gained 13 pounds. YUCK.. My doctor was very happy with my weight gain she said it perfect for how far along i am.

Doctor appointment update
On Wednesday i went to my doctor for a normal check up.
Over all my doctor said everything looked and sounded great. I was measuring 23 1/2 weeks
babies heart beat was 148
my blood pressure was a little high but nothing to bad.
She did have to check me cause i was feeling a TON of pressure down below and cause i had been spotting for a few days. When she checked me i was dilated a finger tip below and dilated to a 1 1/2 in upper. She told me that i was pretty much on bed rest other then going to work. So that means i cant do anything around the house, cant pick anything up that weight more then my baby inside me. Leaving me to pretty much sit on my butt and watch Logan do it all. It sucks cause this is when i want to start getting the babies room ready and start deep deep cleaning the house.
So i guess we will see how this goes and hope i dont dilate more! Finger crossed we can keep this baby in past Christmas. My doctor seems pretty up beat that we will make it to 30 weeks so that's a good sign. She does think that we wont make it to my due date, but i say as long as i dont have an other December baby i will be happy..
I cant wait to see my little guy but i want to make sure he cooks a little longer.

22 Week update

What's up with Baby this week? Our little man is the size of a Spaghetti squash , around 11 inches long and weights ONE POUND!!!
Your wee babe's perfect little pancreas (a super-duper organ that produces hormones and aids in digestion) is now making its own hormones for your baby's body and brain!
If you were worried, you can finally stop that: your baby's future in the circus as a world-famous tight-rope-walker is secure now that their inner ear is developed to the point that they have their own sense of balance.Luckily for your little womb-explorer, this new balance promotes physical dexterity, which has them actively feeling out their surroundings where skin, body parts, and the resident umbilical cord are the big sensory experiences.Your sweet babe is sort of looking like an oversized red prune right now as more and more skin (and therefore wrinkles) are showing up each week. Not to worry, all those wrinkles are just your baby's way of planning ahead for the time when they’ll start piling on all of that irresistible baby chub.

Symptoms? Stretching and more stretching. I really dont think i can stretch anymore but i only know what more i can do. At the end of the day my back and legs will start hurting and maybe its cause i sit on my butt all day long at work.

Gender? Handsome little boy!

Excited For?  Thanksgiving of course and i have an appointment this coming up week.

Maternity Clothes? I LOVE yoga pants..But those are starting to get a little tighter in the belly. So i finally told Logan after Thanksgiving i NEED to go and buy me a few outfits. I hate feeling so uncomfortable and not being able to breath

Sleep? Sleep has been ok.. I have to move a lot at night cause if i lay on one side for to long my hips will start hurting or my back. Only having to wake up once to pee at night!

Movement? More and more each day! I love it more now cause i will be laying down and you can see little kicks through my shirts. He can kick pretty hard.
I was laying down one night and Logan was laying at my feet just talking to me. All of a sudden Logan jumped up and said did you see that. Come to find out he saw our little man kick through my shirt. Kinda freaked him out.

Belly Button Status? Half way in and half way out. Some days it wants to be a outie and other days it will stay in.

Missing Anything? I hate always being hungry! I swear i eat everything in sight! I know its going to kick my ass in the end when i gain 100 pounds! Being

Milestones?
Seeing our little guy kick thought my shirts

Cravings? Cuties (Oranges), Apples, and Peanut butter.

Weight Gain? I go in this coming up week. I feel like i have gained a ton! Im kinda scared to see what the number on the scale is. :-/
